About Me

From a very early age, I’ve been a reader.  I still am, and often read 2 or more books in a month.  Somewhere around 1990, my family got their first computer; an Apple IIe.  And I’ve been hooked ever since.  As most readers will, I also fancy myself a writer.

I graduated from Hamilton High School, in Hamilton, Montana.  I quickly put on the traveling shoes and moved to Jamestown, North Dakota to attend Jamestown College.  While there, I managed to get my name associated with the 1997 Jamestown Jimmies football team that was inducted into the Jamestown College Athletic Hall of Fame, so I can technically claim hall of fame status.

I began work as a Lead Computer Operator, and thus my career in technology, in 2004. I was married in April of 2005 and graduated from JC in May of 2005.  Our first child (a boy) was born in June of 2006 and we followed him up with a wonderful little girl in March of 2009.  In the midst of all of that, in late 2005, I discovered a way to meld my love of computers with writing.  In August of 2005, I began the first inkling of what would become Thatedeguy.  From there, I’ve developed many other sites and blogs (some now defunct or sold) and continue with that today.  In the time since then, my wife and I have both become very involved with the community of Jamestown.  My wife started a business in town, and we both serve on many committees and a few boards in town.
